We’re excited to welcome Charting in the USA, hosted by Chuck Shorter, to Classic Mix Radio.
Every Saturday at 4 PM EST, Chuck counts down the biggest hits from 1955 through 1999, taking listeners on a musical journey through the songs that shaped generations. Whether you grew up with Elvis, The Beatles, Motown, disco, classic rock, or the biggest hits of the ’80s and ’90s, there’s something for everyone.
The show’s debut during the first weekend of August was a fantastic success, and we can’t wait to continue bringing this countdown to you every Saturday.

Story of the Month
The Airport Pickup
A man offered to pick up his girlfriend’s parents from the airport for the very first time.
Wanting to make a great impression, he cleaned the car, put on a nice shirt, and even brought a sign with their last name written on it.
As passengers started coming through the terminal, he proudly held his sign high, smiling and scanning the crowd.
People kept looking at him… then laughing.
One guy even gave him a fist bump.
Completely confused, he looked down at the sign.
Instead of “Welcome, Mr. & Mrs. Johnson,” it read: “HOT JOHNSONS WANTED.”
He froze.
There he stood, in the middle of the airport, unknowingly advertising for “Hot Johnsons” while dozens of travelers walked by trying not to make eye contact.
A few minutes later, his girlfriend’s parents came through the doors, saw the sign, and burst into laughter.
Safe to say, it wasn’t the first impression he had planned—but it was one they’ll never let him forget.
Moral of the story: Airports are not the best place to accidentally advertise for “Hot Johnsons.”
